Park & Ride, Park & Walk

Hours of operation:

The hours of operation of shuttle service will be from 4-5 hours before the kick-off to 2-3 hours after the completion of the match.

Parking is also provided in a secure environment.

 

Frequency of services:

The frequency of services will depend on demand from spectators.

Before the match, , a shuttle will typically depart at least every 15 minutes from the Park & Ride to the stadium.

After the match, the complete fleet will be available to transport spectators back to the Park & Ride sites.

The frequency will depend on the return times of the shuttle services, which is expected to be in the order of 15-35 minutes for all sites.

Under normal circumstances, buses, trains and minibus taxis only operate until around 20h00; unless there is a match that ends late. When no shuttle services are operating  you are encouraged to make use of metered taxis which will rank close to the stadiums.

 

Cost of Park & Ride services:

➢ No fee will be charged for the use of the parking area, or the transport on the shuttle servicesfor the following:

 

  • Gauteng Province – Gauride services
  • Tshwane Service
  • Mangaung Services
  • Rustenburg Services:

 

Johannesburg Host City Parking Area Costs:

➢ A fee will be charged in the use of the parking area but not for transport on the shuttle services to and from the stadium:

  • Car = R30.00
  • Taxi/kombi = R60.00
  • Bus = R200.00
